Northlander was a real adventure and had a lot of unexpected, yet realistic surprises. The writing was just a little stiff in some parts; I wouldn’t say Burden was especially gifted stylistically. I feel like Northlander would be really awesome for the younger pre-teen or teen set. I will definitely be picking up the sequel.
