Numerous landmarks in Nishinomiya, including the high school, feature in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is very amusing and while it doesn't have a proper ending, it whets your appetite for more of the adventures of Haruhi, Kyon, Nagato, Mikaru, and that guy with the annoying smile. Lovers of the anime really should try the novels out for they are even better than that faithful adaptation.
